Who am I? Honestly I am unsure myself.
I thought I was meant to become a writer. Go to an expensive college, move to a big city, and make a name for myself. Now, I am not so sure. I thought I had it all figured out. But that’s when reality hit. I do not know what made me think I could actually succeed as a writer. With all those so-called “writers”, there’s no way I could out write them all. What made me think I was a better writer than anyone else? So, I threw the whole writer idea in the trash. Didn’t see a profitable future.
Now, I am not 100% sure what I should do with “the rest of my life”. Some doors have opened up for me now that I have closed the one I originally was going to take. I don’t know where they are going to lead me, but I trust they will lead me somewhere. It’s still up in the air to be honest. It’s a “whatever floats your boat” type thing. Maybe I am not meant to be anything, but rather just someone. I honestly don’t know. But here’s what I do know:
My name is Ashley Schackow and I love to write. I also enjoy reading, sports, photography, organizing, boating, fashion, and listening to Britt Nicole. Honestly, I far from normal. Being a major tightwad, my motto is “live like no one else so you can then live like no one else.” I also strive to live a busy, but minimalistically lifestyle. Most importantly, I love God, my family, and friends. Without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
You’re probably wondering why exactly I have this blog. I may not view writing as a career, but I’m going to keep it as a hobby. Web designing has always been a hobby and writing is one as well. Together, these two hobbies have joined and created this website.
